Manufacturing Technician – Clinch & Riveting Systems
We are seeking a highly skilled Weld Technician with strong automotive manufacturing experience to support high-volume truck production operations. This role requires hands-on expertise in advanced metal joining technologies, with a strong emphasis on Clinch Joining, Riveting Systems, and mechanical fastening processes used in modern automotive assembly environments.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge of automotive body structures, high-strength steel, aluminum components, and precision joining systems that meet strict OEM quality standards. Experience working in a fast-paced truck manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform, troubleshoot, and optimize Clinch Joining processes in automotive assembly applications
- Operate and maintain Riveting equipment, including structural and self-piercing riveting systems
- Support production related to automotive truck body assembly
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain TOX® press systems and Henrob riveting systems (strongly preferred)
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to mechanical fastening systems and metal joining equipment
- Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards, safety protocols, and production efficiency targets
- Conduct preventative maintenance on welding and fastening machinery
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, maintenance teams, and production supervisors to improve process performance
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly schematics
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on lean manufacturing and process optimization
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Weld Technician in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Advanced knowledge of Clinch Joining technology
- Hands-on experience with Riveting systems (structural and self-piercing preferred)
- Strong understanding of automotive assembly processes
- Ability to troubleshoot automated joining equipment
- Experience working with high-strength steel and aluminum materials
- Familiarity with robotic welding cells and automated production lines
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TOX® systems
- Experience with Henrob riveting equipment
- Background in truck line manufacturing
- Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment
- Experience supporting high-volume automotive production
